When you’re surrounded by cameras most of the time, it becomes harder to come to terms with your body. This is one of the reasons why when celebrities give birth, they try to drop their baby weight as fast as possible. Jennifer Garner, however, is one proud mama who has made peace with her post-children body.
Jennifer recently addressed the issue, and we at Bright Side can’t help but admire her honesty.
People keep assuming she’s pregnant because of her belly.
In a podcast with Giovanna Fletcher, Jennifer revealed that she constantly finds herself among pregnancy rumors. “I’m 48, and I’m single. And it’s still happening.” People assume she’s pregnant because she’s not visibly thin.
“It’s just a body. Be grateful for it. It carried you this far. It carried babies for you. What else do you want? My goodness.” She explained, ’’The bump is not going anywhere. Its name is Violet, Sam, and Sera.’’
Not all bodies are able to “bounce back,” and it’s okay.
Some women give birth and go back to their original shape, while others struggle to lose baby weight — and there’s nothing wrong with that. Jennifer admits she has friends with incredible bodies but she’s not one of them, and it doesn’t bother her.
She’s comfortable being the way she is.
Not conforming to the regular standards of Hollywood, Garner adds, “I can work really hard, and I can be really fit and I will still look like a woman who’s had 3 babies, and I always will.” Back in 2014, she spoke about the same issue and made it clear that she’s forever going to have that baby bump.
She doesn’t want more babies.
Jennifer has 3 children with her ex-husband, Ben Affleck: Violet, age 16, Seraphina, age 13, and a son, Samuel, age 10, and she doesn’t want any more. Replying to one of the “Are you pregnant?” comments on her Instagram, she added that she’ll never be pregnant again. She’s happy with her healthy children and sweet family.
Did you try to get back into shape after giving birth? How long did it take?
