Carrie Ann Inaba is definitely trying to have a more intimate relationship with her followers. The Dancing With The Stars judge has recently interacted with fans regarding depression, leading her to share something about the state of her mental health.

Carrie Ann Inaba Talks Mental Health in Recent Instagram Live with Fans

On September 9, the veteran choreographer hosted an Instagram Live to entertain some of her fans. In the middle of the live, one fan shared that they have been struggling with depression, anxiety, and PCOS but is now taking care of their body, towards recovery.

Sharing a bit of her thoughts regarding the situation, Inaba praised her follower for taking charge of their health. She went on to state the importance of “giving ourselves permission to take care of ourselves,” since it’s not always easy to do so. Sending the advice has apparently led Inaba to share a recent mental breakdown she had.

“Depression and anxiety, I’ve struggled with both also. I think a lot of people do now. Just know that you’re not alone. And that behind every person’s smiley face, like I had a full-on meltdown two days ago. I don’t know what happened, I just really had a rough day,” she said.

According to the veteran choreographer, the breakdown was “really scary” and has made her “super vulnerable.” Nonetheless, she’s thankful that she was able to receive comfort from two of her friends that were fortunately with her that time.

Elsewhere in the Instagram Live, Inaba gushed about the importance of meditation and trying to get one’s body move such as riding a bike and going for a walk. The television personality also suggested the benefits of writing down one’s feelings in a journal.

She Says Her Goal on Dancing With The Stars is to Inspire People

By the end of the Instagram Live, Inaba address one fan comment regarding DWTS. According to the fan, the series has been bringing them so much smile amid their struggle in depression.

“My goal every time I’m on there is to help people, to inspire people. And I’m so proud to be on the show, especially in this climate of life,” she said.

During the Instagram Live, Inaba didn’t reveal many details about the upcoming season of DWTS. Nonetheless, she teased nearing cast announcement and premiere date reveal that will happen on Wednesday, September 13, on Good Morning America.

Inaba also teased her upcoming appearance on LIVE with Kelly and Mark alongside fellow DWTS judges Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli.
